Annual Price
This is the cost for hosting for 12 months... you can sign up for a web hosting account annually which allows you to secure your web presence, PLUS you obtain an annual pricing discount...
Autoresponders
An automatic calling card you can set up which, when activated, sends a message back to anyone sending you an email. You can use it if you are away from your desk to alert people to your absence etc. You can manage your autoresponders and email via your control panel.
Bandwidth/Monthly Traffic
This is the monthly measurement of data coming in and out of the server, and specifically your website. Sites are given a guide amount of potential traffic they can receive. Bandwidth is measured in GB - gigabytes (1,000 megabytes), and is recorded/calculated when a file is downloaded. 1 GB of bandwidth as a guide provide approx 100,000 hits (which are individual file requests, i.e pictures, web pages, media) a month. Additional bandwidth can be added to your account on an ad-hoc basis.
Catch-All Email Account
A Catch-All email address will filter any email to a specifed location if it hasnt already been setup to go elsewhere through a POP account or alias.
Please note that all messages sent to whatever@mydomain.com will automatically be forwarded to mydomain@mydomain.com if you do not have aliases set up for your account. Therefore, if you wish for abc@mydomain.com to be forwarded to mydomain@mydomain.com, it is not necessary for you to set up an alias.

Disk Space
Web space, or disk space, is the amount of allocated storage you are given on your web hosting account. This allows you to store files, web pages, email, databases and graphics. Web space is always measured in MB (megabytes). This option can be easily upgraded if you are approaching your allocated amount.
Email Aliases
An email alias is a shell email account which can be set up to point or redirect mail from one place to another. For instance, if you set up an alias for info@mydomain.com and asked it to direct to me@hotmail.com, any mail sent to info@mydomain.com would be automatically sent to your hotmail account. Aliases can be directed anywhere, even internally and can point to multiple places. We supply unlimited aliases with our accounts and include a "catch-all-account" alias which points any unaddressed email to your default account... You can manage your alias and email via your control panel.
Error Pages
Customisable error pages such as 404, 403 which enable you to brand responses from the server, such as Page Not Found.
Flash and Shockwave
Flash and shockwave are multimedia tools, allowing you to present interactive presentations and websites, utilising the latest streaming and audio technology. Our servers fully support .SWF files and MIME associated with Flash and Shockwave.
FrontPage Extensions
Microsoft's web development studio, which has web server extensions to allow website and file management. Using FrontPage you can manage your website and hosting from the software itself. FrontPage isn't a standard installation unless specified.
FTP (File Transfer Protocol)
FTP is the most common way to "upload" and "download" files from your web hosting account. Using FTP software you can upload your website files to your hosting account in seconds any time of day or night. You can also add more accounts to allow other people access to certain directories or files on your account. Anonymous FTP allows users to log in to a given directory and have free access to files within it - perfect for file sharing.
Multiple Domains
This feature allows you to add multiple domain names to the same account. You can "point" other domains at the same hosting account or subdirectory, allowing these domains to transparently share the accounts resources.
Password Protected Directories
Allows the ability for you to secure a given directory with a secure username and password. Perfect for admin or secure areas and can be set up instantly through your control panel.
PoP3 Email Boxes
PoP 3 email boxes are basically full spec email accounts. These are fully individual email accounts which can be collected via client software (Outlook, Lotus or Eudora etc) and allow complete administration via the web. You can collect your email from any ISP, any location in any country, which makes it a dynamic and professional solution to email management.
Statistics
Morecambe Net provides a detailed Statistics service which generates graphs and tables of your visitors and web site activity. This is very useful for analysing traffic to your website and any problems that occur with its use. This is a service that is included on all of our accounts.
